County Equipment Refresh – Equipment Delivery Information

 

Good morning,

 

As part of the county equipment refresh project, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) along with our vendor (Insight) are working to ensure that the new RTS equipment is delivered to you in a timely manner. Once your office has been scheduled for the equipment refresh, you can expect to receive the RTS workstations and printers 24-48 hours before the installation. This window was created to ensure that the equipment is on site and ready for installation while limiting the amount of time counties will be required to store it.

While every effort is being made to ensure that the equipment is delivered within the predefined window, it is possible that the shipping company may arrive early. In the event that the shipping company attempts to deliver the equipment to your office outside of the designated delivery window, you have two options:

  • If you have a secure space within your office available, you can accept the shipment and store it until your scheduled installation date.
  • You can deny the shipment. Upon your denial, the shipping company will attempt to redeliver. Once the designated delivery window arrives, you can then accept the shipment.

The vendor’s shipper is responsible for the delivery and removal of all equipment in and out of the county facility. County personnel should not attempt to move, unload, or load any equipment to avoid damaging to the equipment or injury to county personal.
