Processing and Handling Fee and IVTRS Webinars

Please review and distribute as appropriate.

With the next RTS Release, the TxDMV will introduce changes related to Processing and Handling (P&H) fees and centralized printing and mailing of online registration renewals.

The $4.75 P&H fee will replace several existing fees associated with registrations such as the $1.00 automation fee and $1.00 mail-in fee. The P&H fee will be assessed only on registrations and renewals that expire on or after January 2017.

The centralized printing and mailing of IVTRS (online) registration renewals expiring January 2017 or later will begin in November 2016 due to the ability for customers to register up to 90 days prior to expiration.

Customers with a January 2017 or later registration expiration who renew online will be able to track the progress of their renewal to see when their registration sticker is printed and mailed by the vendor.

The following webinars have been scheduled to provide information on the P&H fee, IVTRS processing, and sticker tracking.  The webinar schedule is below and space is limited, so please reserve your virtual “seat” as soon as possible by signing up through one of the links.
