RTS version 8.7.0 Defect Status Update

As you are aware, RTS Version 8.7.0 was deployed statewide on 10/30. Since the launch, a small number of issues were reported to TxDMV. Please find below a list of issues that have been reported to TxDMV since the release of RTS version 8.7.0 and the status of the associated resolutions 

Issue

Description and Mitigation

RRTS-7996 RRTS-7997

Sales Tax, Penalties and Registration may show as duplicates in the Week to Date (WTD) report.

The resolution will be deployed and available on Thursday November 3, 2016.

 

RRTS-7948

Invalid Manufacture Request for Special Plate during a Renew or Exchange event. The clerk sees a pop-up notification for a manufacture request. A work around exists where the clerk can simply click past the pop-up.  

TxDMV is updating the data on a nightly basis to prevent these plates from being manufactured.  The resolution will be deployed and available on Tuesday Novmeber 8, 2016.

 

RRTS-7995

In very limited circumstances if a customer changes the county during the online renewal process the transaction will have a different county number compared to the payment record. The IVTRS transaction will be displayed to the incorrect county for approval.  Counties can inadvertently approve transactions for other counties.

A resolution to this issue is estimated to be available by Saturday November 12, 2016.

 

RRTS-7994

A developer tool was inadvertently exposed to county users. This tool was not intended for production use and may negatively affect the proper execution of an RTS transaction if used. 

This tool will be removed from production RTS.
