The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles will be providing government agencies information explaining how the single sticker program relates to vehicles with exempt plates and registration. The training sessions will be held January 27-29, 2015. The single sticker program, also called “Two Steps, One Sticker,” begins statewide March 1, 2015, and requires proof of vehicle inspection in order to obtain or renew registration.
As mentioned in the high level overview for your county, renewal notices will be sent for vehicles with standard exempt license plates as a means for fleet managers to remit the state’s portion of the inspection fee and to comply with inspection verification. Additionally, a vehicle registration sticker will be issued for each vehicle with standard exempt license plates due to the elimination of inspection stickers starting March 1, 2015.
We ask for your assistance in spreading the message to government agencies in your area, including other county offices, law enforcement, city offices, and school districts that would benefit from participating in one of the upcoming webinars. Please share this information with any of the applicable government agencies within your area.
The webinar schedule for government agencies is below. Please inform all government agencies wanting to attend to reserve their virtual seat in advance of the webinar by selecting one of the links to complete the registration process.
