webDEALER continues to gain popularity as more counties and dealerships begin using the system and realizing the benefits it offers in efficiency and productivity. In May, 45 counties and 339 dealers realized webDEALER benefits, including offering dealerships paperless online transfers and accurate fee calculations for application processing. In April, five percent of all dealer title applications were submitted to the county utilizing the webDEALER application. In May, those numbers increased dramatically, doubling to ten percent of all dealer title applications submitted.
Following is a breakdown of the numbers since the implementation of the system. County-approved transactions reached 40,299 for the month of May, bringing the total transactions submitted through webDEALER to over 155,000. Harris County continues to lead in system utilization with 13,434 approved title applications and 41,026 transactions (26,430 new and 14,596 used vehicle transactions).
