House Bill (HB) 718 becomes effective on July 1, 2025. Training on ePLATE (formerly known as eTAG) and metal plate assignment is available! The ePLATE Assignments Training will guide you through the steps of assigning license plates using the new ePLATE system. By the end of this training, you will have a solid understanding of the key process changes happening with the transition to ePLATE.

Training is available 24/7 for you to review at your convenience.

Step 2 Receive a confirmation email and immediately gain access to the recorded training content.

Step 3 Watch training on your time.

Live virtual events are also available. A recording of the ePLATE Assignments Training will play while representatives from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles answer your questions in the chat feature.
