New TxPROS Payment Process

Beginning September 29, 2025, TxPROS will offer a new shopping cart payment feature. This enhancement will allow customers to add multiple permits to their “shopping cart” and pay for them in a single transaction.

Permits eligible for self-issuance will still have the option to immediately submit payment when the permit is ready to be issued.

As part of this update, TxDMV will no longer accept payment for permits by phone.

If You Place a Phone Order or Submit a Permit Request to the Motor Carrier Division (MCD) to Process

  • MCD will place the permit in your shopping cart, and you will receive an email notification that the permit is pending payment.
  • To complete payment, log in to your TxPROS account and select “Shopping Cart” on the customer dashboard.
  • Permits will not be issued until the payment is received.

Payment Deadline

Payment must be submitted by midnight the day the permit is added to your cart, or the permit will be removed from the cart.
