Oversize/Overweight Permit Requirements Suspended for Hurricane Laura Response

Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a disaster for 59 Texas counties in advance of Hurricane Laura’s expected landfall Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning. The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has responded by temporarily suspending oversize/overweight permitting requirements for vehicles and loads associated with activities necessary to respond to the disaster.
