On April 9, 2018, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles deployed an update to the eTAG/webDEALER system. We would like to provide you with some tips to help you efficiently use the updated system.
eTAG/webDEALER User Tips
- Confirm you selected the appropriate location before creating an eTAG, and verify that the correct location information is printed on the tag.
- Verify the appropriate location is selected before assigning an Internet Down Tag.
- Ensure the date of sale entered for the buyer tag and title application are the same. If the dates are different, you will not be able to complete the title application in webDEALER.
