VTR & Enforcement Divisions – Roles and Responsibilities

To: Tax Assessor-Collector

Please review and distribute as appropriate.

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) strives to continually enhance our partnership with the county tax offices through transparency and communication. As part of this effort, we would like to take this opportunity to provide information on how the Enforcement Division will function as a result of it merging the Compliance and Investigations Division on August 1. We would also like to provide information on how the Enforcement Division and Vehicle Titles and Registration (VTR) Division each work to serve the county tax offices.

The presentation will be a brief overview of the primary functions within each division, providing useful and important information specific to each section within the respective division. Please join us online for this joint webinar provided by our Enforcement and VTR Divisions. The webinar schedule is listed below, and space is limited. Please reserve your virtual “seat” as soon as possible by registering through one of the links.
