Initial Notification: TxDOT & TxDMV Network Issues (06/02/22 8:08AM)

Good morning,

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) is aware of an overnight power-related incident which occurred at the TxDMV Camp Hubbard location. This power issue caused multiple Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) managed power appliances to fail in the co-located data center and impacted core TxDMV network connectivity.

Due to this overnight incident that impacted TxDOT equipment, TxDMV systems were temporarily disrupted. TxDOT has restored power and TxDMV systems are back up. However, TxDOT support staff are partnering with their vendors to repair the damage caused by this power-related incident. TxDMV systems may experience further disruptions as this repair work is completed.

TxDMV staff are working closely with TxDOT support staff, the Department of Information Resources (DIR), and their vendors, to monitor the situation. We will provide notification as soon as the repair-work has been completed.

We apologize for the inconvenience and any impact on you or your customers.

Thank you,

Texas Department of Motor Vehicles
IT Department
