Good afternoon,
Over the weekend of January 20, 2024, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV)
will update the Registration and Titling System (RTS) with Release 24.1 which contains the
content summarized below.
Enhancements:
RTS:
• Prevent Issuance of Duplicate General Issue Plate Validation against Core
• New Brushed Metal Grill (Vendor) Specialty License Plate
• New Texas Rangers (Crossover) Specialty License Plate
• New DPS Troopers Foundation (Vendor) Specialty License Plate
• Fuel Type indicator description to display on receipts and as a notation/remark
in applicable systems
