The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) has proposed amendments to §215.83 and §221.17 to allow military spouses with out-of-state licenses to engage in business in Texas. The proposed amendments are posted for public comment until 5:00 p.m. on September 23, 2019. The proposed language is attached and is also available on TxDMV’s website at https://www.txdmv.gov/general-counsel/proposed-and-adopted-rules.
The proposed amendments and any received written comments will be presented to the TxDMV board for adoption at an upcoming board meeting. The meeting agendas are posted on the TxDMV website at https://www.txdmv.gov/about-us/txdmv-board-meetings.
