Informational: Steps to Generate RTS Reports (10/02/2024 @ 11:15 AM)

Good morning,

If you are currently having any reporting issues, please follow the below
instructions as needed.

If you need Inventory Action report or Title Package report:

Rerun Inventory Action report:

Step 1: Go to Inventory, Inventory Action Report
Step 2:  Put in 10/1/2024 for report date.

Rerun Title Package Report:

Step 1: Go to Reports, Title Package Report
Step 2:  Put in 10/1/2024 for report date.

If you don’t do the steps below, then 10/1/2024 and 10/2/2024 will be
combined together in tomorrow’s reports.

Note: These are broken down into Main office and Substation instructions.

It would be best for substations to run their substations summary steps
first and then Main offices.  But if done out of order then Main office will
just need to rerun Countywide again to get the substation information.

For Main offices instructions only:

Step 1.  Go to Funds, Funds Management, Rerun Substation Summary
Step 2 . Enter 10/1/2024 for the Report Date
Step 3.  Choose Cash Drawers that were closed out for yesterday’s work only,
               including Cash Drawer 99
Step 4.  When prompted to Confirm Action CLT001, please confirm for the
              10/1/2024 date
Step 5.  Once Steps 1 to 4 are completed, go to  Funds, Funds Management,
              rerun Countywide
Step 6.  Enter 10/1/2023 for the Report Date
Step 7.  Click Enter

For Substations instructions only:

Step 1.  Go to Funds, Funds Management, Rerun Substation Summary
Step 2 . Enter 10/1/2024 for the Report Date
Step 3.  Choose Cash Drawers that were closed out for yesterday’s work only.
Step 4.  When prompted to Confirm Action CLT001, please confirm for the
              10/1/2024 date
Step 5.  Once Steps 1 to 4 are completed, Call your main office to rerun
              Countywide via Funds, funds Management.

Thank you,

Texas Department of Motor Vehicles
IT Services Division

No Load is Too Heavy to Share

Texas DMV

Texas truck drivers and their families will benefit from knowing that local, state, and national partners are taking steps to reverse a deeply concerning issue: high rates of suicide among truckers.

As the regulatory entity for the trucking industry in Texas, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles strives to support carriers in operating legally, efficiently, and safely on Texas roads. Our concern over the safety of these operations extends to the safety and well-being of the dedicated men and women operating trucks across the Texas highway network. Most products and industries in the U.S. are linked to the work of a truck driver behind the scenes, keeping our way of life and economy moving forward. Recently obtained data on suicide rates by sector in Texas has revealed the trucking sector is experiencing a dramatic rise in suicide rates, the highest per capita of any industry in the state.

In response to this data, the Texas Office of Mental Health Coordination, Texoma Health Foundation, TLL Temple Foundation, Graham International & Graham Truck Centers, and 988 National have partnered to develop a campaign to bring awareness to this issue: “No Load is Too Heavy to Share.” The campaign’s goal is to encourage people in and around the trucking industry to recognize the signs of mental crisis early and promote information on how those struggling can get help.

Please support the carrier industry by sharing the below information on how to obtain assistance with mental health. Additional campaign information and materials can be accessed at the “No Load is Too Heavy” website (https://bit.ly/m/noloadistooheavy).

Remember that you are not alone in your struggles, “No Load is Too Heavy to Share.”

Texas vehicle inspection changes coming soon

Texas DMV

NEWS RELEASE

Texas vehicle inspection changes coming soon

New law eliminates most vehicle safety inspections

(AUSTIN, Texas – September 9, 2024) Beginning January 1, 2025, Texas vehicle owners will no longer be required to obtain a safety inspection prior to vehicle registration. House Bill 3297, passed during the 88th Legislature in 2023, abolishes the vehicle safety inspection program for non-commercial vehicles.

The new law maintains the annual $7.50 safety inspection fee under a new name: Inspection Program Replacement Fee. The state will collect the fee at the time of vehicle registration. Owners registering a new vehicle will pay a $16.75 Inspection Program Replacement Fee to cover the first two years.

State law will still require vehicle emissions inspections in the following 17 counties prior to vehicle registration:

  • Brazoria County
  • Fort Bend County
  • Parker County
  • Collin County
  • Galveston County
  • Rockwall County
  • Dallas County
  • Harris County
  • Tarrant County
  • Denton County
  • Johnson County
  • Travis County
  • El Paso County
  • Kaufman County
  • Williamson County
  • Ellis County
  • Montgomery County
