TxDMV proposes rules related to salvage licenses and site visit criteria

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) has proposed amendments to Chapter 221 concerning salvage dealer endorsement, salvage vehicle agent license expiration, site visit criteria, independent GDN exempt from salvage license, and salvage license terms. The proposed amendments are posted for public comment until 5:00 p.m. on September 23, 2019. The proposed language is attached and is also available on TxDMV’s website at https://www.txdmv.gov/general-counsel/proposed-and-adopted-rules.

The proposed amendments, new section, repeal, and any received written comments will be presented to the TxDMV board for adoption at an upcoming board meeting. The meeting agendas are posted on the TxDMV website at https://www.txdmv.gov/about-us/txdmv-board-meetings.
