TxDMV proposes rules relating to pre-licensing education and site visit criteria

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) has proposed amendments to §215.133, repeal of §215.102, and new §215.161 concerning site visit criteria, consignment GDN, and pre-licensing education for independent motor vehicle GDN holders. The proposed amendments are posted for public comment until 5:00 p.m. on September 23, 2019. The proposed language is attached and is also available on TxDMV’s website at https://www.txdmv.gov/general-counsel/proposed-and-adopted-rules.

 

The proposed amendments, new section, repeal, and any received written comments will be presented to the TxDMV board for adoption at an upcoming board meeting. The meeting agendas are posted on the TxDMV website at https://www.txdmv.gov/about-us/txdmv-board-meetings.
